The 1992 Saints volleyball team are the only volleyball team in school history to qualify for the national tournament. After going an undefeated 8-0 in the conference, Carroll won the Frontier Tournament, District 12 championship and the Bi-District crown.
At the NAIA finals in San Diego, the Saints won their first four matches before exiting with a loss to Western Oregon and placing fifth.
Coach Steve Holman’s spikers compiled a 34-7 overall mark for a school record 82.9 winning percentage. Tiara Ainu’u was named honorable mention all-American.
All-conference members were Shawn Robertson, Amy Williams and Tara Hiller. The rest of the roster included Moe “Tutty” Boyle, Jill Kent, Tawyna Kinne, Heidi Snedden, Hollie Boettler, Alissa Abentroth, Kaycee Spinler, Kim Engel, Tricia Hecht, Brenda Arthur, Paula Engelmeier and Tara Thompson.
