Benji Robinson, a quarterback for the Saints from 1991-94, joins his father Bob Robinson and three uncles in Carroll’s football Hall of Fame.
Bob and Benji are only the second father-son duo to be selected to the Hall of Fame as players, joining Walt and Dave Romasko.
In four years with the Saints, the 6-2, 195-pound Robinson did not miss a game, achieving a string of 35 consecutive games started.Â
His best season was his junior year, when he was named first team All-Conference and the Frontier’s Offensive Player of the Year, while leading Carroll into the 1993 NAIA playoffs.Â
Robinson amassed 2,013 total yards (1,247 passing and 766 rushing), while compiling 24 touchdowns (15 rushing and nine passing).
He concluded his career with another first team All-Conference citation in 1994.
Robinson still ranks fifth on the school’s all-time passing list with 4,583 yards.
