A 6’2” guard from Libby, Dean Morigeau was a 2-time honorable mention All-Conference selection for Carroll, his first two seasons. He left the Hilltop with a reputation of selfless dedication and consistent hard work. Early on his freshman year he came off the bench and performed a double-double in the win over Northern, with 21 points and 11 rebounds. For the rest of his career Morigeau served as a part-time starter and/or the Saints’ sixth man. He finished the season as CC’s No. 2 scorer, netting 11.5 points per game.

In 1963 and ’64, he scored about 10 ppg each year. As a senior, Dean averaged 13.3 points (second on the club) and 4.9 boards a game. But surrounded by an outstanding cast of characters, he was unfortunately overlooked in post season accolades. For his career, he led the team in scoring in 13 contests, including five 20-plus point games. “Dean Morigeau was one of the best left-handed shooters and rebounders we’ve ever had,” coach John Frankino said. “He always played his best when the most was at stake.”
