Casey FitzSimmons is one of only a handful of Saints football players to be named first team All-Frontier Conference all four years of college. A tight end for the Saints from 1999-2002, he was also a rare three-time All-American. FitzSimmons, who played eight-man football for Chester High, went on to play seven years in the NFL for the Detroit Lions. He finished his college career with 244 receptions for 2,698 yards and 21 touchdowns. His sophomore and junior seasons, the 6-foot-4, 238-pounder earned second-team NAIA All-American honors. A member of four straight conference title teams, in 2002, FitzSimmons helped Carroll to the NAIA National championship with a 28-7 win over two-time defending NAIA champion Georgetown. During his senior year, he earned first-team All-American honors, was named the Frontier Conference MVP and was a finalist for the NAIA Player of the Year, while catching 79 passes for 971 yards and six touchdowns.
