A 5’10” post, her sophomore year she led the Lady Saints in scoring and rebounding, averaging 12.3 points and 8.3 rebounds. She was the team’s top scorer in 9 of 22 games, netting 15-plus counters six times. At the 1976 Montana Women’s Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament in Big Fork, Ann Marie netted team-highs of 20 points in the win over Rocky Mountain, and 18 in the 63-52 loss to the UM.

She was selected All-Tourney at the Region IX Women’s Small College Tournament in Tacoma, averaging 15.7 ppg, while pouring in a school-record 30 points in the win over Puget Sound. She then left campus for a year in order to play with her younger sister, returning for her final two seasons. DePriest also played her last two years on Carroll’s very first volleyball team, in 1977-78, earning All-Conference as a junior spiker for the Frontier runners-up. In 1990, Ann Marie (DePriest) Svedin was the first multi-sport woman inducted into Carroll’s Hall of Fame.
