HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Basketball teams will host an afternoon doubleheader against Montana Tech today with the Women's game tipping at 2 p.m., and the Men following at 4 p.m.
On the court, both the Carroll Men (11-14, 6-6) and No. 19-ranked Women (17-8, 9-3) are fighting to secure favorable position in the upcoming Frontier Conference tournament.
Off the court, a pair of Fighting Saints are fighting cancer, and today's games will be an opportunity to help them out.
Today's doubleheader will be a Carroll vs Cancer event, and all proceeds raised this afternoon will go directly to offsetting medical expenses for current Men's Basketball player
Cam Niles, who's battling Lymphoma, and former Carroll Football player Brian FauntLeRoy, who is battling a brain tumor for the second time.

Saturday will be a Senior Day recognition for the Carroll Women, as both
Kyndall Keller (Havre, Mont. / R-SR) and
Addi Ekstrom (Bozeman, Mont. / SR) will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the program in their time here at Carroll. The pair are the second and third-leading scoring options for the Saints on the season, averaging career-bests 14.6 and 11.2 points per game, respectively.
With three games left to play, the Saints sit alone in first place with a 9-3 conference mark. A win this afternoon would move Carroll one step closer to securing their third-straight Frontier Conference championship, a feat no Frontier team has accomplished since 2013-15 (Westminster).
The Carroll Men enter the game with some momentum following the biggest offensive performance of any team in the Frontier this year in a 101-88 win at Frontier-leaders Providence on Thursday.
Head Coach Dan Pearson tinkered with his starting line-up, and the move proved beneficial as the Saints raced out to an early lead and didn't look back. Three freshmen led the scoring effort in the win,
Isaiah Crane (Portland, Ore. / R-FR),
Kellen Harrison (Bozeman, Mont. / FR), and
Isaac Round (Northampton, England / FR). Crane and Harrison were highly impressive, each having career nights with 30 and 21 points, respectively, in the big win.
The Saints are 0-2 against their rivals from down the road on the season, but the Orediggers enter the weekend on a three-game skid, and now find themselves in danger of dropping out of the conference lead.
A Carroll win would go a long way towards breaking out of the three-way log jam for third place in the standings with both Rocky and Western, while also pulling them one game closer to the No. 2 spot with just two games remaining.
