HELENA, Mont. - Tomorrow afternoon's doubleheader basketball games between the Saints and Montana Tech at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. will be an opportunity for the Carroll community to come together and support a pair of young men battling cancer.

Brian FauntLeRoy, a Carroll Football alumnus, was originally diagnosed with brain cancer in January of 2020. After his first tumor resection, he was put on a trial medication that seemed to be going well. A new growth was recently found, and he received his second brain surgery in late December of 2024. This unfortunately confirmed that he has a new, rare, more aggressive brain tumor, which will require chemotherapy and radiation. He and his wife, Carroll Women's Soccer Alum Rachel, will be in Seattle, Wash. for the next six weeks as he continues to receive treatment before starting chemotherapy in Missoula.

Cam Niles, a transfer addition to the Men's Basketball team this past summer, was diagnosed with Lymphoma just three weeks into the 2024-25 season. His November scans revealed that the cancer had spread throughout his body, and he needed to undergo multiple rounds of chemotherapy before being re-evaluated. Niles is progressing well throughout his treatment, but is still in need of our support.

Carroll Athletics encourages Saints fans in attendance tomorrow afternoon to consider donating to assist with the medical expenses for both FauntLeRoy and Niles. All proceeds raised at tomorrow's games will be donated directly to the pair of Fighting Saints as they continue to battle and progress through their respective treatments.

In addition to the benefit for FauntLeRoy and Niles, tomorrow will be an opportunity for all to honor those affected by cancer. During the games, we will recognize and honor those who we have lost, those who are currently fighting, and those who have overcome their cancer diagnoses.
