AUSTIN, Texas – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday the 2023-24 Academic All-America® Men's Soccer teams for NCAA Division I-II-III and NAIA. Michal Mojzis of Carroll College has been named a First Team NAIA Academic All-American.

Academic All-American is a title reserved for college student-athletes who perform at an elite level in their chosen sport and in the classroom. The all-time list of 40,000+ Academic All-Americans includes major sports stars and some of the world's most accomplished individuals in medicine, business, science and the arts. Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions.

Michal Mojzis (Bratislava, Slovakia / SR) has been an integral part of the historic run of success the Carroll Men have enjoyed over the past two seasons. After transferring into the program last summer, the Carroll midfield saw an instant improvement, with the program reaching heights never before seen this past season. Mojzis and the Fighting Saints captrured the first Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship in program history, advancing to the second round of the NAIA Men's Soccer Championship in the school's first-ever appearance in the event.

A two-time CCC All-Conference selection, and CCC Academic All-Conference selection this Fall, Mojzis has been outstanding in his time at Carroll. The senior has six goals, seven assists, and 19 total points in his 31 games started over the past two seasons.

More impressive than his on-field performance is Mojzis' dedication in the classroom. He is set to graduate with a degree in Biology, carrying a GPA of 4.0.

The NAIA first team had a 3.90 average GPA, and Mojzis is one of just three First Team selections to hold a perfect 4.0 GPA of the six total showing 4.00 GPAs.

Nominating and voting for Academic All-America® is an exclusive right of College Sports Communicators members.

The NAIA Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 NAIA Academic All-America® program.
