Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Carroll Men Battle, Fall 2-1 at No. 16 Southern Oregon

ASHLAND, Ore. - Playing a man down for over an hour, the Carroll Men's Soccer team battled but came up short in a 2-1 loss to No. 16 Southern Oregon at Raider Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Although the Fighting Saints (3-3-2, 2-1-1) found an early lead in their first road CCC game of the 2026 season, they couldn't find a way to hold on to it in their first loss to the Raiders since 2023.

Felix Billard (Mallorco, Spain / SR) moved one goal closer to the program's all-time record, opening the scoring early. Billard earned a penalty kick in the 25th minute, and while initially turned-away he was able to put back the rebound to give Carroll a 1-0 advantage.

Minutes later, things went awry for the Saints. A series of cards would see Carroll go a man down, with Cyrille Wangama (Spokane, Wash. / SO) sent off following a foul in the box. The Raiders knotted things up at 1-1 as Ariel De Dios Cruz scored on the ensuing penalty kick.

Southern Oregon would eventually find the game-winner in the 36th minute, as Mustafa Daggig went on a lengthy run up the sideline, then fired a shot that would deflect off a Carroll defender up and over goalkeeper Noah Jordan (Deer Park, Wash. / JR).

The Saints would tally the most shots in the match (CC 20, SOU 18), but Carroll couldn't find an equalizer with only 10 men on the pitch. They'll look to rebound tomorrow afternoon, as they take on Oregon Tech at 3:30 p.m. (MDT).
