HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College Basketball teams will look to keep their first-place standings in the Frontier Conference this evening as they head to Dillon, Mont. for a pair of games with Montana Western.

Both Carroll teams sit atop their respective conference standings, with the Carroll Women being unbeaten (14-3, 5-0), and the Men with just one loss (10-8, 4-1).

On the Women's side of the action, Carroll will look to extend their win-streak to 14-straight over the Bulldogs, dating back to 2020. In order to do so, they will be forced to slow down the Frontier Conference Player of the Week, Jordan Sweeney, who averaged 17.5 points and 10 assists per game last week.

Sweeney leads the Bulldogs in most statistical categories, but it was Joelnell Momberg who led the Bulldogs with 21 points in the first meeting between the two teams earlier this month.

As always, a steady diet of Jamie Pickens (Helena, Mont. / GR) and Maddie Geritz (Boise, Idaho / GR) will likely be a large part of the gameplan for the Saints. The pair are the two leading scorers, averaging 17.4 and 12.4 points per game, respectively.

The Carroll Men will look to continue their great start to conference play, following a 4-1 record in the first lap through the Frontier slate.

Andrew Cook (Huntington Beach, Calif. / JR) enters the week as the Frontier Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season. Cook leads the league in scoring, averaging 19.8 points per game.

The last meeting between the Saints and Bulldogs in Helena was one to remember, as Kendall Moore (Dayton, Ohio / JR) hit a game-winning shot as time expired to lift Carroll to a 75-73 victory in Helena.

Carroll has won nine of the last ten meetings between the schools, with the lone loss coming in their final trip to Dillon last season (53-67, February, 4, 2023).
