SPOKANE, Wash. – The Carroll College women's soccer team officially opens their season this weekend in Spokane.

The Saints will play Whitworth on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. MST and University of Puget Sound on Sunday at 3 p.m. MST.

They will turn around after Sunday's game and head to Great Falls for a non-conference game on Monday against Providence at 1:30 p.m.

Last season, the Saints ended up playing in the spring due to a postponement of the traditional fall season. They finished with a record of 4-6-1.

Carroll returns a strong core of players from last season, headlined by their four all-conference selections.

Katie Anderson, a senior from Spokane, received first team all-CCC honors and will anchor the back line along side McKenna Payne. Payne, a senior from Winchester, Calif., was an honorable mention all-conference selection last season.

Kody Clements and Blair Stapleton are likely to be impact players in the midfield after successful sophomore campaigns for them last season. Clements, a junior from Nederland, Colo., was second team all-conference last season. Stapleton, a junior from Billings, Mont., received honorable mention all-conference honors.
