Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Carroll Women Move Back into Postseason Position, Beat Providence

HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll Women's Soccer team successfully defended their home turf on Saturday, shutting out Providence 3-0 on Valley Bank Field at Nelson Stadium.

The Fighting Saints (4-3-6, 3-1-4) came into the weekend needing a win to remain in the chase for a spot in the upcoming CCC Championship next month and found a way to get it done, picking up a 3-0 shutout victory over the Argos (4-9, 4-6).

The shutout win was a big one for the Saints, marking their second-straight match with no goals allowed and third total on the season. More importantly, the win helped Carroll leapfrog UP in the league standings, now sitting in a postseason position with just four games to go.

Carroll's first shot of the afternoon was a quality one, as Delaney Moczan (Las Vegas, Nev. / R-JR) put Carroll in front in the seventh minute, finishing off an assist from Carmen Anderson (Missoula, Mont. / JR). Over the last four weeks, the Saints have struggled to grab an early lead, but that was not the case on Saturday.

Rachel McAllister (Brier, Wash. / JR) doubled the Carroll advantage right before the halftime break. The junior put away her fifth goal of the season in the 42nd minute, as Anderson picked up her second assist of the opening half to give Carroll a 2-0 lead heading into the half.

Carroll was in complete control for the vast majority of the match, holding a 9-1 advantage in shots in half one, doubling down with an 8-1 advantage in the second as well.

Adison Stoddard (McCall, Idaho / JR) scored her first goal as a Saint in the 81st minute, putting the match to rest while giving the Saints just their second multi-goal win of the season.

Although it was a quiet afternoon, Maria Ackerman (Billings, Mont. / SR) notched a pair of saves on her only two shots faced in the win.

The Saints will now face their final road trip of the 2026 regular season, taking on Warner Pacific and Walla Walla next weekend before a senior weekend at home to cap both the month and regular season.
