HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Basketball teams will continue their final stretch of 2024-25 regular season tonight in a road doubleheader at Providence. The Women will tip at 5 p.m., with the Men following at 7 p.m. at the Mclaughlin Center in Great Falls.

The latest edition of the NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll has been released, and the Fighting Saints (17-7, 9-2) are up to No. 19 in the national ranks, up one spot from the previous poll. Carroll continues to be the highest-rated team in the Frontier Conference, and will square off with the lone other ranked team tonight in the No. 25-ranked Argonauts.

With one win each this year, the Saints and Argos will play the rubber match of the three-game season series tonight, with heavy implications on the line for each side. A win for Carroll would move them one step closer to their third-consecutive Frontier Conference Championship, and sixth in the last eight seasons. The Argos find themselves currently sitting fourth in the Frontier standings, and will look to fight their way into a first round bye in the upcoming Frontier Tournament.

Carroll won a close contest in Helena in the first meeting of the series back in game one of the Frontier slate, 65-61. The Saints also started the last meeting between the teams in Great Falls last month red hot in the first half, before second half shooting struggles led to a road loss to even the series..

Willa Albrecht (Billings, Mont. / R-JR) has been the hottest player in the league over the last two weeks. The standout guard is the two-time running Offensive Player of the Week, while also solo-sweeping with the Defensive Player of the Week honor this past week as well. Over her last four games, Albrecht is averaging 24.2 points per game, knocking down three pointers at a near 60 percent clip (58.3 percent).

On the Men's side of the action, the Fighting Saints (10-14, 5-6) will be looking for their first win of the season over the Argos.

The Argos have been somewhat of a surprise this season, and are currently tied for first place in the conference standings with Montana Tech at 8-3 in conference play. Carroll is in a log-jam for third place, tied with both Rocky and Montana Western at 5-6 in league play, with all three teams fighting for postseason seeding.

The magic number for the Saints this season has been 80, as Carroll has only one win on the season when scoring 80 or fewer points. In the two previous meetings between the two teams, the Saints have scored 78 and 74 points, both losses.

Defense has also been an issue in many of the Carroll losses this season, as the Saints are just 3-12 in games in which they allow 80 points or more. Upping the efficiency on offense, while limiting Providence opportunities will be a key to the game as the Saints look to finish the regular season strong.

Both games will be streamed live HERE.
