HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Basketball teams will begin their third week of conference play with a Thursday night doubleheader against Frontier leaders Rocky Mountain College at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Carroll College PE Center.

Both the Carroll Men and Women will have their hands full this evening, as the Battlin Bears enter the game with identical 3-0 marks in Frontier play, sitting atop the conference leaderboards.

On the Women's side of the action, tonight's game will feature the top two ranked teams in the conference. Wednesday brought with it the release of the latest NAIA Basketball Coaches' Polls, and the Frontier saw three teams inside the Top-25. Rocky sits at No. 20 in the latest poll, while the Saints slid back one position and now check in at No. 22 in the nation.

Two of the top-four scorers in the league will square off tonight in Carroll's Willa Albrecht (Billings, Mont. / R-JR) at 14.4 points per game, and Rocky's Sydney Dethman, second in the league at 17.1 ppg. Albrecht is also a top-five rebounder, second in the conference at 7.7 rpg, while Dethman leads the league in three-point percentage at 43.1.

On the Men's front, The Fighting Saints are in pursuit of their first Frontier win of the season, and will look to play spoiler against the unbeaten Bears this evening. Rocky jumped into the Top-20 in the latest poll following a 14-2 start to the season, checking in at No. 19 in the Coaches' Poll released yesterday.

Rocky forward Jaylon Lee has been the league's most impressive player in the first half of the season, garnering multiple Frontier Player of the Week honors and an NAIA National Player of the Week as well. Slowing down the transfer forward will be a key to a Saints victory.

Carroll won all three matchups with the Bears a season ago, including a 90-85 overtime thriller at the tail-end of the season. Dating back to 2014, the Saints have fared extremely well against Rocky, holding a 25-8 advantage in the overall series.

Tonight's games are the SWX Frontier Conference games of the week, and will be broadcast live throughout Montana on SWX stations. A simulcast of the television broadcast can be streamed free of charge, HERE.
