KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2024 NAIA Men's Soccer All-America teams on Monday, after the competition of the National Championship in Wichita, Kan. Juan Muniz Navarrete of Carroll College has been named an NAIA Third Team All-American for his on-field efforts this past season.

Goalkeeper Juan Muniz Navarrete (Hermiston, Ore. / SR) made history in 2024. Not only was he an instrumental part of the Carroll Men's Soccer program's first ever Cascade Collegiate Conference championship, the outstanding keeper became the program's first ever NAIA All-American, capping a tremendous two-year career at Carroll.

Muniz Navarrete was one of the first players to sign with the Fighting Saints two offseasons ago when second-year Head Coach Austin Shick took over the program. Shick had originally recruited the keeper to Blue Mountain CC while he was the head man there, and the reunion in Helena proved beneficial to all.

The Hermiston, Ore. native made a near instant impact, immediately cementing himself as one of the best keepers in the league last season. Muniz Navarrete earned Second Team All-Conference honors in 2023, and backed it up with an even more impressive 2024 campaign.

2024 was a record-breaking season across the board for the Fighting Saints. Muniz Navarrete set new program records with 13 shutouts, a season-long .70 goals against average, and is now the only player in program history to record a save percentage higher than 80 percent (.803). Statistically, Muniz Navarrete was among the top marks in several categories across the NAIA all season long, and he was named the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, in addition to First Team All-Conference honors.

"I've had the pleasure of working with Juan since 2018," said Head Coach Austin Shick "It brings me great pride and joy to see this as the capstone of his long and storied career. I'm beyond proud of the man that he has become, and look forward to seeing what's next for his life."

The NAIA All-America committee consists of the NAIA-Men's Soccer Coaches Association Executive Committee, the National Championship Games Committee and four men's soccer coaches. Each of the All-America teams is comprised of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, and one at-large position.
