CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) has announced the winners of its weekly individual awards. Carroll Women's Soccer player, Emily Funseth has been recognized as the Rize Laboratory Player of the Week for her performance during competition from Sept. 18 – 24, 2023.
 

Women's Soccer – Offensive Player
Carroll College's Emily Funseth was named the Rize Laboratory Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
 

Funseth, a senior forward from Great Falls, Mont., continued her great start to the season, scoring the game-winning goal with a penalty shot in the 69th minute in Carroll's 2-0 win over Warner Pacific (Ore.) on Friday. On Thursday, the Fighting Saints also completed a 1-0 win over Multnomah University and currently share a top spot in the CCC standings with an undefeated record.

Funseth joins former teammate Blair Stapleton in winning back-to-back CCC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors.

The Saints will look to continue their hot start to the year this weekend, heading to Oregon to take on Bushnell and Corban.
