KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 7, 2026) - The United Soccer Coaches (USC) have announced the College Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year. The Carroll College Women were named Team Academic Award Winners following an outstanding academic campaign.
One of the top-performing teams in the classroom throughout the Carroll Athletic Department last academic year, the Carroll Women's Soccer team joined a long list of their fellow student-athletes to garner top honors from their respective coaching organizations.
The Fighting Saints posted a team-wide 3.58 GPA in 2025-26, once again earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.
The Team Academic Award was created to recognize student athletes' commitment to excellence in the classroom. To be eligible for the College Team Academic Award, the nominated program must be a current member of United Soccer Coaches College Services. Â
For a team to be considered for the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, it must have a composite team grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for all team members who appear on the official NCAA, NAIA, NCCAA or junior college roster forms for the fall season.
All players on the roster must be included in the calculation of the team GPA.
A total of 777 soccer teams (326 men, 451 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year.Â
