Box Score HONOLULU, Hawaii - The No. 5-ranked Carroll Women's Basketball team picked up an opening day with in their first game of the Hoops in Hawaii Holiday Classic, beating Jamestown (N.D.), 58-51.
The Fighting Saints (8-2), managed to pull away in the second half en route to their fourth-straight win over the Jimmies.

Carroll had their dream start the multi-day event, holding Jamestown to just one field goal in the opening quater, leading 14-2 heading into the second.
The Jimmies would flip the script in the second quarter, however, holding Carroll to just 11 percent from the field in the frame, and the pair would enter the halftime break tied at 20-20.
Both teams would right the ship fully in the second half. A tightly-contested third quarter would see Carroll take a three point lead into the final frame where several
Willa Albrecht (Billings, Mont. / R-JR) three pointers would help secure the 58-51 win.
Jamie Pickens (Helena, Mont. / GR) posted yet another double-double, leading the Saints with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while her fellow forward
Maddie Geritz added 13 points and eight boards.
The Jimmies were led by Kate Cordes 16 point effort.
Carroll will hit the court again tomorrow night at 4:15 p.m. MST against (RV) Indiana Tech, who lost to Providence in their opener this afternoon.
