Women's Basketball | 11/18/23 | 3:37 PM
HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Women's Basketball team will play their first of three Cascade Collegiate Conference opponents over the next week, as they take on College of Idaho at 5 p.m. in Caldwell, Idaho.
The Fighting Saints (3-2) will look to build some momentum this evening, hoping to beat the Yotes (0-5) ahead of a Thanksgiving home event against a pair of top-tier NAIA teams.
Saturday's game in Caldwell is sure to be less chaotic than Thursday's environment, where the Saints used the energy of nearly 3,000 local elementary and middle school students to pick up a 62-50 win over (RV) Stephens College.
Jamie Pickens (Helena, Mont. / GR) only played a handful of minutes in the opening half of that game, but still led all scorers, finishing with 12 second half points.
Addi Ekstrom (Bozeman, Mont. / JR) continues to see her minutes ramp up, and the junior has been a difficult matchup coming off of the bench in the last several games.
Maddie Geritz (Boise, Idaho / GR) and
Ava Oakland (Boise, Idaho / SO) are each making a homecoming trip this evening, and will look to play well in front of family and friends as the Saints look for their fourth win of the season.
