CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) has announced their weekly Rize Laboratory Players of the Week for their performances during competition from Oct. 16 – 22, 2023. Carroll's Emily Funseth has been named the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Women's Soccer – Offensive Player
Carroll College's Emily Funseth was named the Rize Laboratory Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Funseth, a senior forward from Great Falls, Mont., was responsible for another dominant weekend by Carroll, leading her team in points on the weekend. She scored one goal on Friday in the Saints' 3-0 win over Evergreen State. On Saturday, she scored a free-kick goal against (RV) Northwest University in the 83rd minute to secure a 1-1 draw for the Saints.
Funseth recorded a .800 sog percentage, while helping the Fighting Saints hold the second spot in the conference standings, heading into the final game of the 2023 season.
Carroll will head to Great Falls this weekend for a road tilt with Providence in their final regular season game of 2023.
