EUGENE, Ore. — The Carroll Women's Soccer team was forced to settle for a 0-0 draw against Bushnell in their penultimate regular season game of 2025 on Friday night in Eugene.
Carroll generated early pressure with corner kicks iin the 6th and 9th minutes, but both resulting shots were blocked by the Bushnell defense.
Bushnell responded with multiple looks on frame, but goalkeeper Maria Ackerman (Billings, Mont. / JR) kept the Saints level. Ackerman tallied five saves in the opening 45 minutes, including stops in the 4th, 18th, 28th, and 35th minutes, and another save in the 41st minute.
In the second half, Carroll continued to generate opportunities, including multiple shots in the 73rd minute, with Emily Winters (Missoula, Mont. / SO) forcing Bushnell's goalkeeper into a save.
Defensively, the Saints held strong as Bushnell continued to push forward, with Ackerman adding two more saves in the 51st and 86th minutes.
Brynn Johnson (Hayden Lake, Idaho / JR) recorded a shot late in the match, but the Saints could not find the finishing touch as the teams would split the points on the evening.
Ackerman finished with seven saves in her shutout, while Carroll totaled 10 shots , including a pair on goal. Meanwhile the Carroll defense limited Bushnell to no scoring despite 15 total shots, seven of which were on frame.
The Saints will wrap up the regular season tomorrow night against Corban at 5:30 p.m.
