HELENA, Mont. - The No. 18 Carroll College Women's Basketball team are back in Helena for their first home game of the Spring Semester, hosting Montana Tech in front of what is expected to be a large crowd the the Carroll College PE Center at 2 p.m.
The Fighting Saints (15-5, 6-1) roll into today's contest off the heels of an impressive wire-to-wire victory over No. 12 Montana Western on Thursday in Dillon. Montana Tech (6-11, 2-5) is on a two game losing streak, dropping games to Montana Western and Rocky Mountain College over the past week.
Carroll has seen production from all over the floor over the course of the year, with teams having to prepare for a starting five loaded with experience, as well as a deep bench stacked with reserves who are hungry to produce.
Jamie Pickens (Helena, Mont. / SR),
Kamden Hilborn (Clancy, Mont. / GR), and
Sienna Swannack (Nine Mile Falls, Wash. / GR) have been a head for opposing teams for three years now, and the trio have their Saints squad in the hunt for a Frontier title once again.
Montana Tech's Tavia Rooney is one of the Frontier Conference's best, appearing at or near the top of several statistical categories. The Junior is averaging 14.1 points and a conference-leading 8.2 rebounds per game.
The Saints earned a 12 point victory over the Orediggers in their first meeting this season, a 60-48 win in Butte earlier this month. Carroll has won the last 18 meetings between the two programs, dating back to 2018, and will look to extend that streak this afternoon.
Today's game will be streamed live on the
Fighting Saints Network: presented by Point S Tire & Auto Service, and will also be broadcast locally on SWX. Live stats for the game can be found
