GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The seventh-ranked Carroll Women's Basketball will head to No. 19 Providence on Thursday to close out the regular season with one of the biggest games of the year in the Frontier Conference. Tip-off is at 5 p.m.
With this final game on the schedule left to play, the Saints are tied for first place in the Frontier Conference with the aforementioned Providence and No. 15 Rocky Mountain College. With a win, Carroll will clinch at least a tie for first place heading into the conference playoffs.
If Carroll wins and Rocky loses to Montana Western, they will stand alone at the top.
Last Saturday, the Saints went on the road to Rocky and knocked them off for the first time this season by a final score of 55-45. Their record is currently 23-5 overall and 11-3 in conference.
Providence is fresh off of an 87-69 win at Montana Tech last Saturday in which they knocked down an impressive 17 three-pointers. The Argos are 24-5 on the year with a record of 11-3 in conference.
These two teams have squared off twice already this season. The Argos got the best of the Saints 62-59 in Great Falls back on January 13. Carroll got their revenge on January 29, winning 60-45 at the PE Center.
