CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced their All-Conference Soccer teams this week. Carroll was represented by four players total, spanning across both teams and honorable mentions.
Katie Anderson was named first team all-conference,
Kody Clements was named second team all-conference, and
McKenna Payne and
Blair Stapleton received All-CCC honorable mention.
Katie Anderson, a junior center back from Spokane, Wash, was selected to the All-CCC first team after a terrific season anchoring the back line for the Saints. The Carroll defense held their opponents in check all season long and totaled four clean sheets, in large part thanks to Anderson. She also tallied two goals on the year.
Kody Clements, a sophomore midfielder from Nederland, Colo., earned a spot on the All-CCC second team. Clements played a pivotal role for the Saints in the midfield all season long as a facilitator and scorer. She scored one goal and assisted on another this season.
McKenna Payne, a junior outside back from Winchester, Calif., received All-CCC honorable mention honors this season. Payne provided lots of versatility for the Saints not only as a defender, but also pushing the ball up field and taking a number of free kicks and corner kicks. She had one assist and one goal on a free kick this season.
Blair Stapleton, a sophomore midfielder from Billings, Mont., also received All-CCC honorable mention honors after playing a pivotal role for the Saints' attack this season. Stapleton's season was highlighted by a hat trick in a game against Providence, helping her secure the nod for Cascade Offensive Player of the Week.
