HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll Women's Basketball team will hit the road this weekend to take on  Montana-Western. Despite multiple cancellations last weekend, the Saints have clinched the regular season Frontier Conference championship and will look to end their conference schedule on a high note.

"We're really looking forward to this weekend. We've only had two games in the last three weeks and it will be huge to get out and play against somebody else," said Coach Rachelle Sayers. "We expect two competitive games, the last two Western games here came down to the wire."

These two programs have had their fair share of battles over the years including two Carroll victories this season, back in January, by final scores of 81-75 and 50-47. The last time they met in Dillon, in February of 2020, the game was won on the final possession by Western, 58-56.

Coming into this weekend, Carroll is first in the conference with a 17-2 record and Western is right behind them in second with a record of 14-6.

The upcoming games will be played on Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Straugh Gymnasium.
