HELENA, Mont. -- The No. 17-ranked Carroll College women's basketball team hits the road to face Providence for the second time this season on Saturday.
Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the McLaughlin Center.
QUICK NOTES
* Frontier Conference coaches picked the Fighting Saints to win the league in the preseason poll.

* Christine Denny and Dani Wagner were selected preseason all-conference in the same coaches' poll. Denny was an honorable mention All-American last season while Wagner earned second team all-Frontier honors.

* Once again, the Saints scheduled arguably the toughest preseason schedule in the Frontier Conference. The Saints had games against NCAA D-I opponents Montana and Montan State, while also matching up on the road against NCAA D-III talents Whitworth and Whitman.

* Carroll was ranked No. 17 in the latest Top 25 poll.

* The Saints are 5-2 at home, 6-2 away and 2-2 at neutral sites.

* Under Rachelle Sayers, the Saints average 19.6 wins per season. The Saints have won 25 or more games in the past two seasons.

* Division-I transfers: This past offseason, the Saints bolstered their ranks with the additions of Kamden Hilborn and Emerald Toth. Hilborn came back to her home town after a season with Montana State while Toth spent the majority of her career with Boise State.

* The Diesel: Denny leads the Saints in points in the paint at 56.

* Dani Wagner leads the team in points off turnovers at 25.

* Sienna Swannack has only missed one free throw (24-of-25) this season. She is shooting 96% from the charity stripe.

*The Saints claimed the first go-around with Providence on Jan. 11, winning 64-58.
* Providence defeated the Saints' Wednesday evening opponent, Montana State-Northern, on Thursday, winning 53-41.

* Bailey Cartwright leads the Argonauts in scoring (14.3), rebounding (10.1) and blocks (1.2).

* The Argonauts shoot high percentages across the floor. The team ranks No. 3 in the NAIA at made threes per game (9.6) while shooting the No. 16 mark from deep (35 percent). Parker Esary is No. 3 in the NAIA in shooting percentage at 64 percent.

* Four Argonauts average double-figure scoring. Cartwright leads the charge, while Esary adds in 14, Emilee Maldonado brings another 13.9 and Jenna Randich scores 10.6.

* Carroll features two scorers going over 10 points per game: Dani Wagner averages 13.9 while Christine Denny adds in another 10.9.

*Prior to Wednesday's road loss, the Saints held a six-game winning streak.

* Christine Denny has been the Saints leading rebounder in nine of 19 games this season.
