Box Score HELENA, Mont. -- No. 8 Carroll College bested another Top 25 opponent, defeating No. 22 Rocky Mountain College 58-50 on Thursday in Billings.

Rachelle Sayers said. "I thought we got all the loose balls and got some timely rebounds on the offensive end and were just able to wear them down and make just enough shots down the stretch to win a big road game."
Jaidyn Lyman and
Danielle Wagner combined for 24 points, as the Saints used a stellar defensive game to slow the Battlin' Bears.
"Jaidyn had her one of her best all around games on both ends," Sayers said. "This was a big win for us and gives us a lot of momentum going into a big week next week."
After trailing by one point after the first quarter, the Saints held RMC to six points in the second quarter, gaining control of the game by half. Carroll led 30-24 and built upon that in the third quarter.
Rocky chipped away in the fourth quarter, but the Saints never let them back in.
It's the third consecutive win for Carroll (12-4) and the Saints are now 4-0 in the Frontier Conference.
Nine Saints played while eight scored.
Lyman led the Saints with 14, followed by Wagner's 10.
Christine Denny added nine points and nine rebounds and five steals.
Alecia Chamberlin led the Battlin' Bears with 15 points.
The Saints will play another game in the Fortin Cetner this season.
The Saints take on Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho, on Jan. 10.
