Carroll Women Face MSUN, Providence in Final Road Trip

HELENA, Mont. – The No. 11 Carroll College women's basketball team heads north for the final road trip of the regular season. The Saints face MSU-Northern Friday before traveling to Providence Saturday.
 
The Saints enter the weekend with the longest win streak in the conference at four games. The Saint  won 10 of their last 12 games and are 11-3 in conference, a game up on Rocky Mountain and two games up on Montana Western after the Bulldogs dropped their weekend opener against Montana Tech.
 
Hannah Dean leads the Frontier Conference in rebounds and blocks and the Saints in points at 11.9 PPG, steals and assists as well. Bailey Pasta joins Dean in double figures at 10.6 PPG.
 
The Saints open the weekend with a game against a Northern team that has struggled throughout the conference season but picked up one of their two games against Carroll in Havre in the conference opener. The Skylights topped the Saints 53-42 on Dec. 2 but fell 67-46 on Feb. 3 in Helena.
 
Three Skylight players average double figures, Shiloh McCormick leads the way at 12.5 points per game.
 
Saturday, Carroll faces Providence and is looking for the season sweep. The Saints topped UP 78-65 on Dec. 3 and 59-47 on Feb. 1.
 
Steph McDonagh leads Providence with 17.84 PPG, and freshman Parker Esary is second at 14.6 PPG.
 
Friday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m., and Saturday's game will tip at 5:30 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live on 94.9 FM ESPN Montana Radio and ESPNMontana.com. Live video will be broadcast on the schools' youtube channels, and live stats will be available via dakstats.
