HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College women's basketball team looks to build on a four-game win streak Tuesday when the Saints host the other hot team in the Frontier Conference in Rocky Mountain (RV) Tuesday at the PE Center before traveling to play Montana Tech Thursday in Butte.
The Saints (11-4, 3-1 FC) are coming off of a pair of wins against No. 10 Montana Western and No. 7 LCSC. Rocky Mountain (13-1, 3-1 FC) completed the same sweep last weekend and has built a seven-game win streak. Montana Tech is 11-5 on the season and 1-3 in Frontier play with their lone win coming against MSU-Northern Thursday in Butte.
Hannah Dean leads the Frontier Conference in rebounds (8.73 RPG) and blocks (1.73 BPG) and leads the Saints in points (12.93 PPG), Assists (2.27 APG) and steals (1.73 SPG).
Carroll is second in the conference for scoring defense and is fourth in the NAIA in total rebound defense. The Saints are tied for the current lead in the Frontier with Rocky and Providence at 3-1 overall.
Rocky Mountain is tops in NAIA DI in scoring defense per game and opponent Field goal percentage. The Battlin' Bears are second in scoring margin, second in total rebound margin and third in assists/turnover ratio.
Brooke Jones, who began her career as a Saint before making her way to Rocky via Dawson Community College, leads the Bears with 13.1 PPG. Mikayla Jones is second on the team with 12.6 PPG.
The Orediggers are led by Shay Potter who averages 11.9 PPG. Kourtney Coverdell is second on the team with 10.9 PPG.
