Carroll Women Host Calgary, Lethbridge

HELENA, Mont. - The 21st-ranked Carroll College women's basketball team hosts a pair of Canadian schools to close out non-conference play Friday and Saturday at the PE Center. 

The Saints host the University of Calgary on Friday before welcoming the University of Lethbridge Saturday.

Calgary is 7-3 on the year while Lethbridge has a Canada West-leading 10 wins on the season at 10-2. 

Carroll opens the final non-conference weekend with a 7-4 record after going 1-1 at the Hoop N' Surf Challenge in Honolulu. The Saints topped a tough Menlo college team, but fell 55-52 to Saint Xavier, the top-ranked team in NAIA DII.

Hannah Dean leads the Saints in points at 11.7, rebounds, steals and blocks. She is 10th in NAIA DI in blocks per game at 1.82. Bailey Pasta also averages 10.2 points per game. The Saints average 61 points per game while giving up 53. 

The Saints open the weekend against Calgary. The Dinos are led by Brianna Ghali and Bobbi Jo Coburn who average 15 points per games each. Channon Hatch averages 11.4. Calgary scores 70 points per game while giving up 59. The Dinos open the weekend against Montana Tech Thursday in a neutral site game at the PE Center. 

Lethbridge averages 75 points per game and gives up 66.3. The Pronghorns are led by Kacie Bosch with 13.4 points per game and Zoe Dahl with 12.7. Lethbridge played a pair of non-conference games against Frontier conference teams. They lost 84-67 to Providence before squeaking out a 54-53 win over MSU-Northern in Havre. 

Friday's game will be part of a Carroll-Calgary double-header. The women will tip-off at 5:30 with the men beginning at 7:30. Saturday's game will tipoff at 7 p.m.
