Box Score BILLINGS, Mont. – The 25th-ranked Carroll College women's basketball team made four 3-pointers in the first five minutes of the game to build a 16-9 lead over Rocky Mountain. The Saints never trailed for the rest of the game en route to the 62-54 road win in the Frontier Conference opener.
Carroll led by as many as 12 points in the third quarter but Rocky cut the lead to 60-54 in the final minute for the Saints closed with two more points for the eight-point win.
Cassidy Hashley led Carroll with 14 points and 10 rebounds, notching her fifth double-double in just nine games this year.
Bailey Pasta added 12 points and
Baylee Watson had 10.
The Saints were 22-56 (39.3 percent) and held Rocky to 21-60 (35 percent) shooting. Carroll outrebounded the Bears 46-32 but gave up 18 turnovers.
The Saints are now 7-2 on the season and 1-0 in Frontier play. The Bears fall to 7-3 and 0-1 in conference.
Carroll plays Friday against Montana State in Bozeman in an exhibition match for the Saints, it is a regular season contest for the Bobcats.
