Saints fall to MSU 59-49 in exhibition matchup

BOZEMAN, Mont. – Carroll College fell to Montana State 59-49 Saturday afternoon in an exhibition game.

The Saints trailed 28-26 at halftime but were outscored 31-23 in the second frame en route to the 10-point loss.

The Saints trailed by just one, 35-34 with 14:55 remaining in the half before an 11-3 run by MSU put the game out of reach.

Baylee Watson and Kalee Junkermier each scored 11 points to lead the Saints. Cassidy Hashley added 10 points for Carroll and grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Watson also grabbed six rebounds.

 The bobcats were led by Jasmine Hommes with 19 points and six rebounds and Lindsay Stockton who tallied 16 points and eight assists.

The Saints outrebounded MSU 37-35 but had 18 turnovers to the Bobcats 18.  The turnovers led to 11 more shots for the Bobcats.

The Saints next travel to Lacey, Wash. To face Saint Martin's, Thursday at 8 p.m. MST.
