CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) has announced their annual Preseason Men's and Women's Soccer Poll results. The Carroll College Women were picked to finish third, while the Carroll Men were selected fourth in their respective coaches' polls.
With both teams on campus and well underway with their Fall camps, the Carroll Soccer teams both find themselves near the top of the preseason polls.
The Carroll Women appear at No. 3 on their poll, and the Fighting Saints appear primed for another successful season under 18th-season coach, Dave Thorvilson.
The 2023 Saints held a 11-2-4 overall record last season and will be rejoined by three first team All-Conference members (
Emily Funseth / Great Falls, Mont. / GR,
Maria Ackerman / Billings, Mont. / SO),
Avery Lambourne / Billings, Mont. / SO). Carroll will enter the year as one of the league's most experienced, losing just one player to graduation from the '23 squad.
The Carroll Men check-in at No. 4 on the poll, matching their highest mark in program history (2015). Head Coach Austin Shick was named CCC Co-Coach of the Year after leading the team to a postseason berth in his first season at the helm. The Saints return a bevvy of talent across the pitch, led by a strong midfield that is anchored by
Caleb Hoxie (Helena, Mont. / GR) and
Michal Mojzis (Bratislava, Slovakia / SR), both of which earned All-CCC honors in 2023.
