HELENA, Mont. –Senior guard
Bailey Snelling scored a career-high 26 points, including the Saints' last 18 to lead the 19th ranked Carroll College women's basketball team to a 67-60 win over No. 25 Lewis-Clark State Saturday, at the PE Center.
The first half was defensive battle, the Saints held Lewis-Clark to 6-of-25 (24 percent) from the field en route to a 27-21 Carroll advantage at the break.
The Warriors battled back and tied the game at 39 with 10:48 left in the game, then built a 51-47 lead with 6:53 on the clock.
Katie Estey hit a layup to cut the deficit 51-49 that is the point when Snelling caught fire.
Snelling outscored Lewis-Clark 18-9 by herself the rest of the way to push Carroll to the victory.

Along with Snelling's 26, Junkermier scored 10 points to lead the Saints. Eight different Saints had multiple rebounds to lead the Saints to a 36-21 advantage on the boards.
The Saints were 17-of-20 (85 percent) from the free throw line.
McKenzie Heaslet and Megan Risinger led the Warriors with 11 points each.
With the win, Carroll keeps pace with the University of Great Falls for third in the Frontier Conference at 8-5 (17-9 overall). Lewis-Clark is now 6-6 in conference play (20-8 overall), good enough for fifth place.
The Saints close out the regular season with Rocky Mountain on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the PE Center.
