Biography
2014-15: In Katie's Junior year, she averaged 6.2 ppg, 3.2 rpg, and 2.67 apg. She started the season against Mount Royal University with a career high 22 points. Estey recorded another career high in rebounds with 7 in the final game of the season against Concordia (Calif.). Estey also recorded her career high in assists with 6 versus Campbellsville (Kent.).
2013-14: Estey averaged 7.2 ppg, 2.7 rpg, and led the team with 2.0 apg. Her season highs came against College of Idaho with 14 points, McGill University with 7 rebounds, and College of Idaho again with 8 assists.
2012-13: Katie averaged per game 1.71 rebounds, 1.74 assists, and 2.42 points. She had game highs of 9 points versus Rocky Mountain, 6 rebounds versus Marygrove (Mich.), and had 5 assists versus Westmont (Calif.) College of Idaho, and Cal State San Marcos.
High School: Katie led her Central Valley High School team to one of the best finishes in school history. Her team went 25-2 and made it to the State Championship game. Along the way, Katie averaged 10 points a game while shooting 45% from the field and 80% from the free throw line. She also averaged 3 assists, and 2.5 rebounds a game at the point guard position. She was named to the 2nd Team All-GSL (Greater Spokane League). Katie was a club teammate with freshman guard Cassie Anderson, which was the same club team that former Saint star, Alysha Green, played for.
Coach’s Comments: " Katie Estey is the complete point guard. She spent the year learning what she needs to do to be a great point guard in this league and she has definitely taken what she learned and applied it, she is ready to lead this team. She has a great court sense and a calmness about her that makes her a great floor leader."
