Helena, Mont. – Carroll Track & Field heads to their final regular season indoor meet this Friday at the Big Sky Tuner in Bozeman, Mont.
Nearly fifty Saints will compete, including Pole Vault national qualifier Chloe Gallagher, who will head to the NAIA Indoor National Championships later this month. Multiple athletes are approaching national qualifying marks, and the group will aim to finish the season on a high note.
Several Carroll competitors will debut in a race that is rarely contested - the 600m. Madalen Shipman, Wyatt Ehredt, Tucker Monaco, and Kaiden Romney will run the event for the first time.
At least one Saint will be chasing a school record. Last weekend at the Bobcat Performance Meet, Timmy Sellars hit just one half meter short of Timothy Wyatt's school best in the Weight Throw.
It has been a strong season overall for Carroll, with multiple individuals moving onto or up in Carroll's Top 10 Performance Lists. So far for the men, this includes Carter White (60m - 3rd, Long Jump - 6th), Weston Means (High Jump - 4th), Tucker Monaco (Heptathlon - 4th, Pole Vault - 10th), Zack Gacnik (3000m - 7th), Brycen Gardner (Mile - 9th), and Bodie Smith (Long Jump - 10th). On the women's side, Katelyn Christensen (Pentathlon - 5th), Rylee Herbstritt (60 Hurdles - 7th), Madison Lewis (Shot Put - 7th), Sorren Reese (60 Hurdles - 9th), and Gabriella Domenici (Pentathlon - 10th, High Jump - 10th) moved into the Top 10.
"We've been improving all season," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "This last meet is a great opportunity to be competitive and put our very best performances out there," he added.
Field events and running events will begin at 3:00 pm at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse at Montana State University.
