Missoula, Mont. - The Fighting Saints Track & Field Team notched four Outdoor National Qualifiers at the Al Manuel Open on Friday and Saturday.

In Friday's Javelin competition, all three athletes set personal bests. Reuben Hornby placed 3rd, throwing the NAIA A Standard and setting the Carroll College school record. Katelyn Christensen also threw the A Standard for her first individual qualification for Nationals, moving to 2nd All-Time for the Saints. Carson Krack's lifetime record put him into 8th at Carroll.

In the field events Saturday, Brynn Wandle was a highlight with an NAIA A Standard jump in the Pole Vault, placing 3rd and earning another ticket to Nationals. Multiple athletes set personal records in the field: Jackson Barney (Pole Vault), Ida Bokemeyer (Triple Jump), and Macee May (Long Jump). Kayla Botkin (Discus), Abigail McBeain (Shot Put), and Hunter Gum (Shot Put) all made the finals in the throws with Botkin and McBeain both finishing as top NAIA athletes at the meet.

On the track, Oliver Morris hit the NAIA National Qualifying A Standard in the 3000m Steeplechase in a personal record for his first individual trip to Nationals. Also in the Steeple, Logan Anderson's debut put him into 7th All-Time for the Saints.

For other running events, Carson Krack and Claire Bucklin ran lifetime bests in the 110m and 100m Hurdles respectively. Krack's run set the school record for Carroll. Faye Holland and Ellie Baxter each ran their fastest open time ever in the 800m, as did Chloe Raats in the 200m. With altitude conversions, Ryah O'Dell and Conrad Schruth both set personal records in the 5000m.

The Saints compete every week through the Frontier Conference Outdoor Championships hosted in North Dakota in early May. Their next meet is in Butte on April 4.
