HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Soccer teams head to Billings this afternoon for a Sunday showdown with Rocky Mountain College as Cascade Collegiate Conference Play has officially begun.

The Fighting Saints Men (1-1-1) will look to build momentum today at Rocky (3-0-2), after picking up their first win of the season in a 3-0 shutout over Walla Walla (Wash.) on Friday.

The Carroll Women (3-0-1) will look to remain unbeaten and open up their CCC season with a win over the Bears (2-2).

On the Men's Side, Carroll will look to pick up their first ever win over the Bears. The Saints are 0-12 in program history against Rocky, but have the opportunity to flip the script with a new leader at the helm.

Three new faces to the Carroll program picked up their first goals as Saints in Friday's win over Walla Walla, Michal Mojzis (Bratislava, Slovakia / JR), Enrico Paparelli (Sao Paulo, Brazil / FR) and Ismael Navarro (Dayton, Texas / FR). The Carroll staff will hope that the tried can replicate that success today in Billings.

Juan Muniz Navarette (Hermiston, Ore, / SO) has been solid in net for the Saints, and aims to neutralize any Rocky attempts this afternoon.

On the Women's side, Carroll sees their first official CCC match of the season. The Saints qualified for the CCC championship tournament last season, and will look to start 2023's bid out on the right foot with a win over Rocky on Sunday.

The all-time series between the schools has been very even, Carroll is 5-4-5 in the last 14 games with the Bears, including last season's 0-0 draw in late October.

Through four games on the year, the Carroll Women have rarely not been on the attack. The Saints enter conference play averaging nearly 20 shots per game, and are coming off of a win and tie against a pair of NCAA Division II opponents last weekend in Billings.

Emily Funseth (Great Falls, Mont. / SR) and Natalie Brown (Pasadena, Calif. / SR) are both coming into today's game off of terrific performances last week.

Today's games will be streamed live HERE. Live stats for the Men can be found HERE, and live stats for the Women can be followed HERE.
