Carroll Women Split Points with Warner Pacific

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Carroll College Women's Soccer team wrapped up their 2026 road slate on Sunday afternoon, settling for a 2-2 draw against Warner Pacific in rain-soaked conditions.

The Fighting Saints (5-3-7, 4-1-5) nearly came out of the weekend with a pair of wins, but a late foul in the box would allow the Knights (5-5-3, 4-4-2) to steal a share of the points with a 90th-minute PK goal.

While Warner Pacific scored a last minute goal to force a draw, there were fireworks on the other end of the clock as well. Carroll opened the game with a bang, as Adison Stoddard (McCall, Idaho / JR) scored her second goal of the season just 31 seconds into the rainy Sunday match off an assist from Rachel McAllister (Brier, Wash. / JR).

Although the Saints held a 12-6 advantage in first half shots, the Knights found a way to level the score before the break, as Katya Tercek got Warner Pacific on the board with a 32nd minute goal.

Samantha Patch (Liberty Lake, Wash. / SO) gave Carroll a 2-1 lead in the 71st minute, scoring her second goal of the season as well, assisted by Brynn Johnson (Hayden Lake, Idaho / SR).

Carroll, who controlled the action throughout the entirety of the match, had several late chances at an insurance goal. The Saints put up four shots over the final seven minutes, but two were blocked and the other pair wouldn't find the frame, eventually leading to Warner Pacific's last-second game-tying goal.

The Saints finished the afternoon with a 28-12 advantage in total shots, 17 of which were on net. However, they were unable to get past WPU keeper Evelyn Montiel for the better part of day, as she finished with 15 saves in the draw.

Maria Ackerman (Billings, Mont. / SR) went all 90 minutes for the Saints in net, finishing with two saves on the afternoon.

The Saints will enter the final week of play looking to punch their ticket to the CCC Championships, needing just one win to lock up a spot in the tournament. They'll have two opportunities to do it at home next weekend, hosting Corban on Thursday before a Saturday morning season finale against Bushnell.
