HELENA, Mont. – The NAIA announced its preseason rankings this week for both men's and women's cross country. Carroll College is projected at 19th nationally for the women and 20th nationally for the men.
Both Carroll's women and men won the Frontier Conference Championship in fall of 2022 to earn automatic bids to the NAIA National Championships. At Nationals in Tallahassee, Fla., the women finished 22nd and the men finished 25th.
A panel consisting of one head coach from each conference voted on the national poll. Carroll Head Coach Shannon Flynn will take on rating duties for the men for a second season. Points are awarded based on rankings from the raters. Additional Top 25 ratings will take place on Sept. 21, Oct. 5, Oct. 12, Oct. 26, and Nov. 6
Montana Tech also received votes for the men, while both Montana Tech and Rocky Mountain College received votes for the women.
