Helena, Mont. – Saints Cross Country travels to their first out of state meet of the season for the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem, Ore. this Saturday.
The men's and women's races will each boast over 25 teams and over 250 individuals. This will include multiple nationally ranked Cascade Conference teams like College of Idaho, Southern Oregon, and Eastern Oregon who all have both men's and women's groups in the NAIA Top 25.
Carroll will travel 6 men and 8 women to the race. It will be the first time attending the event for the Saints, which is held at Willamette University on a sea level course that is known for quick times.
"This weekend is going to provide a great opportunity to practice in a big race and competitive atmosphere," said Head Coach Shannon Flynn. "We're feeling good about our progress in training over the last few weeks, and it will be exciting to see where we match up with some strong teams and to gather info on what we can keep working on as we move into the second half of the season."
The men's race will begin at 10:30 am Mountain Time and the women's at 11:20 am Mountain at McCulloch Stadium and Bush Park on Willamette's campus.
