Carroll Cross Country Teams Picked as Preseason Frontier Conference Favorites

HELENA, Mont. - The Frontier Conference has announced the results of the 2023 Frontier Conference Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Polls. Both the Carroll College Men's and Women's teams were selected by the coaches to finish at the top of the standings.

With the season rapidly approaching, coaches from around the conference submitted their ballots ahead of what shapes to be a great season.

On the Women's side of the action, three-time defending champion Carroll College has once again been picked to claim the title.

Montana Tech was picked to finish second followed by Rocky Mountain College, Montana Western, the University of Providence and MSU-Northern.  

The two-time defending men's champion Saints are the coaches favorites to defend their title. Montana Tech is picked to finish second followed by Rocky Mountain College, Montana Western, the University of Providence and MSU-Northern. 

Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams. First place was worth five points, a second place vote is worth four points, a third place vote is worth three points, a fourth place vote is worth two points and a fifth place vote is worth one point.
There are 90 total points available

Rocky Mountain College - 16
Montana Western - 13
Providence - 10
MSU-Northern - 5

WOMEN:
Carroll College (4) - 24
Montana Tech (2) - 21
Rocky Mountain College - 16
Montana Western - 14
Providence - 10
MSU-Northern - 5

All the Frontier Conference teams will converge on Great Falls, Mont. on September 7 for the first meet of the season, hosted by the University of Providence.
