HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Women's Soccer team is looking for their first win of their 2022 regular season this Saturday, when they play host to Mount Royal University at 5 p.m. in Nelson Stadium.
The Mount Royal Cougars will be making the trek to Helena all the way from Calgary, Alberta, with a young but energetic roster. The Cougars finished their 2021 season with a record of 3-7-2.
With an athletic and explosive offense, the Saints are hoping to add on to their goal tally this Saturday. Carroll will likely involve heavy pressure from Forward Blair Stapleton (Billings, Mont. / SR) and newcomer Deana Lord (Cave Creek, Ariz. / FR), who scored two goals last weekend in an exhibition match against North Idaho College, to get their offense going and get the ball in the back of the net.
This game will be an opportunity for the Saints to fine-tune team chemistry as the preseason comes to a close and they begin to work towards a successful 2022 season in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Tonight's game will be streamed on the Fighting Saints Network, and live stats will be available via the Women's Soccer schedule tab.
