NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Carroll Women's Basketball team will embark on their journey through the NAIA National Tournament, presented by Ballogy, as they face Lindsey Wilson on Friday at Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans. Tip-off is at 12 p.m. MST.
 
Carroll earned the number three seed in the Naismith bracket after putting together a record of 25-7 on the year. The Saints fell to Rocky Mountain College 59-56 in the Frontier Conference Championship on March 1.
 
Now they face off with 14-seed Lindsey Wilson (Kentucky) in the opening round of the national tournament. Carroll and Lindsey Wilson are no strangers to each other though, as they already faced off once this season. The Saints won that November meeting by a final score of 84-63.
 
Lindsey Wilson finished the season with a record of 16-15 after losing to Georgetown College by 10 points in the semifinal round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.
 
The winner of this game will advance to Saturday and play the winner of six-seed Loyola (La.) and 11-seed Menlo (Calif.) at 2 p.m. MST. The winner of Saturday's contest will head to Sioux City, Iowa, with 15 other remaining teams to compete for a national title.
