BILLINGS, Mont. – The Carroll Men's Basketball team put together an impressive showing on Saturday evening, rolling over Rocky Mountain College 83-57 in Billings.
The Saints played about as well as they possibly could in the first half, sharing the ball on offense and locking down on defense. After the first 20 minutes of basketball, Carroll led the Bears 47-29.
Rocky was never really able to narrow the deficit throughout the course of the second half, as the Saints kept pace with a double-digit lead.
In the end, Carroll over-powered Rocky wire to wire for an 83-57 road win.
Jovan Sljivancanin posted a monster stat line of 21 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists on 10 of 17 shooting.
Andrew Cook put up 20 points on 9 of 14 shooting and
Shamrock Campbell added 16 of his own points on 7 of 11 shooting.
Jesse Owens was the lone scorer in double figures for the Battlin' Bears. He posted a team-high 12 points.
No. 11 Carroll is still tied for first place in the Frontier Conference with No. 14 Montana Tech with one more game on the slate. The Saints hold the head-to-head tie breaker over the Orediggers.
Carroll, now 26-3 and 12-2 in conference play, will head to Great Falls on Thursday for a high-stakes matchup with the University of Providence.
