Bozeman, Mont. – The Saints athletes performed well as a team at the Bobcat Challenge, adding two National Qualifiers and placing twelve athletes in the Top 3 in their respective events.
Nikki Krueger placed 2
nd and hit the NAIA A Standard to qualify for nationals in the shot put. She currently holds the top mark in the NAIA.
Chloe Gallagher also placed 2
nd. She notched the NAIA B Standard and moved into the Top 10 in the NAIA for this season. Other 2
nd place finishers for the women included
Sophie Loveless (triple jump),
Natalie Yocum (800m), and
Reghan Worley (3000m).
Lee Walburn won the heptathlon, setting a personal record and maintaining the top spot in the NAIA.
Brett Glaser placed 2
nd and also preserved his 5
th place ranking. Chris Abell won the 60 hurdles.
"It was overall a great job by all," said Head Coach
Harry Clark. "It's nice to have a starting point, and now we can go to work in preparation for more indoor meets."
The Saints return to the oval on January 29
th for the Stacy Dragila Invitational in Pocatello, Idaho.
