Box Score BILLINGS, Mont. -- The Carroll Women's Soccer team defeated Rocky Mountain College 3-2 in double overtime on Monday afternoon in Billings. It was the third game in a row, dating back to last week, that the Saints went into double overtime.
This marks the first conference win for the Saints this year, taking them to 2-2-1 on the season and 1-2-1 in conference.
In the first half of Monday's game, it was Carroll who got on the board first when
Josie Snyder assisted
Kody Clements for a goal in the 18th minute.
Just 10 minutes later, Hannah Borgel scored an equalizer for the Bears off of an assist by Tiara Duford.
In the 33rd minute, the Saints were able to take the lead back again.
Katie Anderson tucked away a penalty kick to put Carroll up 2-1, and they took that lead into half time.
Shortly after the half, Rocky evened the score once more on a goal from Tiara Duford.
For Carroll's third straight game, 90 minutes was not enough to determine a winner and they headed into overtime.
After the first overtime period, the score remained tied. Then the Saints were able to seal the victory in the 106th minute.
Katie Martin took a shot on goal that was blocked, and
Natalie Brown was there to shoot the deflection into the back of the net for the game winner.
