HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College indoor track team added a national qualifier on Saturday at the Snake River Open in Pocatello, Idaho.
Samantha Mundel, who previously qualified in the mile, qualified in the 3,000, running a time of 10:27.74 to place third overall among a field of NCAA D-I talent. Her time surpassed the NAIA A-Standard.
The Saints had a lot of near qualifiers, too. Notably, Brooke Endy's 60-meter and 200-meter times (7.90, and 26.63, respectively) were just off the national standard. Endy took second in both the 60 and the 200.
Alex Olmes also provided a highlight on the day, winning the men's 800 in a time of 2:01.96, his new personal record.
The Saints next go to the Dragila Invitational back in Pocatello, Idaho, next weekend.
