HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College women's soccer team ends the regular season with a matchup against Providence on Saturday, November 2 at Nelson Stadium -- a game that doubles as the Fighting Saints' Senior Day
The Saints will honor 10 seniors:
Alexa Fries,
Brenna Rohnkohl,
HanSena DiNoia, Mikayla Welch,
Michaela Stock,
Rachel Quade,
Carsyn Kraft,
Kirsten Girolami,
Taryn Neameyer, and
Charly Clements.
Carroll (8-6-2, 5-5-1 in CCC) heads into its final match of the regular season in eighth place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings, one spot ahead of Providence (5-10, 4-7 in CCC). The Saints have secured a postseason bid to the CCC tournament, regardless of Saturday's outcome.
Providence has lost its last two games, falling to Warner Pacific 2-1 and Rocky Mountain 3-0. The Argos are led by Eme McLaughlin who ranks sixth in the NAIA in shots on goal per game (4), and 11th in total goals (19).
The Saints look to bounce back after a 1-0 loss to Rocky that ended their four-game win streak. Carroll's defense has only allowed one goal in the last five games, and the team is allowing only 1.13 goals per game.
The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Saturday at Nelson Stadium. Come out and support the seniors and the Saints in their final regular-season game.
