HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College women's soccer team faces another big road test this weekend, traveling to Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho.
The Saints (4-41, 1-3 Cascade Collegiate Conference) face No.6 Eastern Oregon (5-0-2, 2-0-1 CCC) on Friday at 5 p.m. The two teams shared the CCC regular season title a season ago, but so far this season it's EOU that looks like it's back on course for another run at the championship.
The Mountaineers own a win over No. 24 Hope International, No. 10 Embry-Riddle, a victory over No. 12 Hastings and a tie with No. 9 Midland so far this season.
EOU goalkeeper Cydni Cottrell is ranked No. 13 in goals against per game (0.490).
The Mounties have multiple goal-scoring threats, with five players or who scored three or more goals.
The Saints will be looking to fare better on the road than they did a week ago, falling twice to Southern Oregon 2-0 and then Oregon Tech, 3-0.
The Saints are led in scoring by
Makayla Welch's seven games.
The games can be seen via
Eastern Oregon's Stretch Internet portal.
